Every summer SOAR Special Needs offers a week-long SOAR Special Needs Summer Day Camp open for all individuals with special needs ages 3 y/o and older. We offer camp in-person from 9 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday. This year we are excited for our camp theme to be SOARing For the Son – Outer Space! We cannot wait to enjoy a variety of fun activities including outdoor, craft, sensory, missions, storytime, and more.

 

The cost of camp is $250/camper which includes lunch each day, 2 snacks, plus a camper t-shirt! Scholarships are available for those who need - you can contact info@SOARSpecialNeeds.org for more information. 

 

We also have sponsorship opportunities available for camp! The cost of camp is actually $600/camper. If you would like to help sponsor camp, we have several different options available, please contact us at development@SOARSpecialNeeds.org.  

 

SOAR is offering an opportunity for you to create your own summer camp fundraiser, share with friends and family, win FREE summer camp (or provide a summer camp scholarship), and many other prizes.
 
Go to the SOAR Special Needs Facebook Page and click on FUNDRAISERS and CREATE FUNDRAISER. In the title line - make sure that you say it is for Camp! Then post on your social media and invite all of your friends and share with everyone you can! Raise $1000 and earn a FREE camp for your child or to give away, PLUS gift certificates to anywhere of your choosing! You can also create a Classy Camp fundraiser by clicking here.
 
Summer camp does not have to be for you. Every year, SOAR helps individuals that cannot afford to attend camp, and summer camp costs well above what we charge our campers. Please consider hosting a social media fundraiser to help us meet all the costs of sharing camp or click here to make a donation today!

COVID FAQ

What are you doing to prevent the spread of COVID?

  • Practices and precautions are being put in action in order to keep campers, volunteers, and staff safe.
  •  Traffic flow will be limited.
  • Arrival and departure will be modified. 
  • We have an incredible medical team who serve to keep everyone safe and healthy.
  • For all events, we no longer require masks and will take advice from CDC and local authorities on masks.
  • Temperature checks. 
    Everyone will have a temperature check upon entry into the building every day.
    If anyone has a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, they may be asked to return home.
  • Activity schedules will be adjusted to reduce large group programming.
  • Camper teams will be limited to 10 campers in order to allow for physical distancing.
  • Our large group time will be split into two areas to allow us to separate our teams to allow physical distancing.
  • Volunteers will receive additional training on how to ensure the health and safety of everyone at camp.
  • Additional hand sanitizer stations will be placed around the camp.
  • Posters will be displayed to reinforce positive behaviors.
  • Routine cleaning and disinfecting of facilities, activities, and equipment.

What are your cleaning procedures?

  • We have volunteers and resources specifically dedicated to cleaning all highly touched surfaces during the day and thorough cleaning after camp each day.

Are COVID vaccines required?

  • Vaccines are not required to attend camp, however, we will ask to be made aware if your camper has had the vaccine or if they have had COVID-19.

Do campers and volunteers have to wear masks?

  • For all events, we no longer require masks and will take advice from CDC and local authorities on masks.

What happens if the camp has to be canceled due to worsening COVID?

  • If the in-person camp has to be canceled due to worsening COVID concerns we will issue full refunds to all campers minus the non-refundable booking fee.

I am no longer able to attend camp, do I get a refund and who should I contact?

    • We provide full or partial refunds for camp depending upon the timing of the cancellation with the exception of the non-refundable booking fee. Please email info@soarspecialneeds.org for cancellations.
      • Before June 12: 100% Refund
      • June 13 - June 19: 75% Refund
      • June 20 - July 3: 50% Refund
      • On or after July 4: No refund will be issued

Do you offer camp scholarships?

    • Camp scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis. Please email info@soarspecialneeds.org for more information.
