SOARly Needed R&R Events
SOAR Special Needs provides monthly FREE SOARly Needed R&Rs (Respite) both in person and virtually for individuals with special needs of all ages.
Our in-person R&Rs will be at various locations throughout the greater Kansas City area and will have a simultaneous program for siblings from birth-13 years old. R&R events consist of a variety of activities including games, crafts, sensory, movies, worship, a short devotional, and more. We will only be able to accept 10 individuals with special needs and their siblings per each respite session. We offer monthly two to three hour respite events on a Friday and/or Saturday. For the entire year, our respite nights will have a Safari theme! In order to help ALL of our families experience a time of respite, you will only be able to attend once, and then placed on a waitlist for future R&R's throughout the year. For all events, all staff and volunteers will be required to wear facemasks, and participants are highly encouraged to wear them and will be given a mask break as needed. All individuals will need to have a temperature check prior to entering the building.
