Every parent of a child with special needs asks three questions:
Will my child ever be able to provide for themself?
Who will take care of my child when I'm gone?
Who will take care of me?
Twenty-six percent of the US population are individuals with special needs/disabilities, making them the largest minority group. Therefore, SOAR exists to transform the lives of special families and empowers them to SOAR in their local and faith communities.
SOAR provides respite, social clubs, summer day camps, Wonderfully Made Disability Conference, Employer Disability Training, and church resources. In the future, SOAR looks forward to providing employment training opportunities for adults/teens with disabilities, housing and related communities to support individuals with disabilities as they age, and much more!

SOARly Needed R&R
SOAR Special Needs is hosting a FREE 3-hour respite for parents of individuals with special needs! We will also have a simultaneous program for siblings from birth – 13 years old. Dinner will be provided and we will provide a full medical and behavior teams to welcome all individuals of every age, diagnosis, and severity.

SOAR With Someone Special Prom
April 20th, 6:00-9:00pm
Get your dancing shoes on! The SOAR With Someone Special Prom is for individuals with special needs and their parent/caregiver. This is open to all ages; a parent, caregiver, or date must attend and purchase their own ticket. No buddies will be provided for the prom, and all dates or parents/caregiver will be responsible for the participant they are with. The theme for this year’s prom is Majestic Monarchs. The cost is $25 per individual. Each participant must come with at least one individual accompanying them.

SOAR Social Club LAUNCHED in Missouri
We are launching a SOAR Social Club in Lee's Summit!!! In partnership with Oakwood Baptist Church, SOAR Social Club will meet on the 1st Thursdays of each month for individuals who are 18 and older with lower support needs, who desire to build community. We will share a meal, play games, participate in a themed activity, and socialize with friends.
Where: Oakwood Baptist Church (7600 Lee's Summit Road, Kansas City, MO 64139)
When: 1st Thursdays of each month, 6:00pm-8:30pm
