We are hosting our First SOAR Social Club!!! This event is for individuals who are 18 and older who are higher functioning individuals and able to function without support.  This even is to build community with our higher functioning teens and adults. This is a place where they can share a meal, play games or watch a movie. This event is $20 and covers dinner, games, activities, and staffing. 

The May 24th SOAR Social Club will be at the SOAR office (12201 W 88th Street, Lenexa, KS 66215). We are accepting only 20 participants. 

We know that socialization is a huge need for our higher functioning participants. We will be hosting more social clubs to meet as many families’ need as possible.

COVID-19: We want to ensure the health and safety of everyone with the ongoing concerns of COVID-19. We will be doing temperature checks for all staff, volunteers, and participants. We no longer require masks and will take advice from CDC and local authorities on masks. We will have extensive cleaning between each respite event.

Paperwork: All participants must fill out and return a Plan of Care and Consent form by May 21st in order to attend May’s Social Club. If a Plan of Care and Consent form is not received by May 21st  your spot will be given to someone else. SOAR Plan of Care and Consent forms are valid for one full year from the completion date. Cancelation Policy: If you are no longer able to attend May’s Social Club and you let us know by May 20th you can still sign up for a future Social Clubs in 2022. If you cancel after May 20th you will need to wait until all families have attended a 2022 Social Club before you can attend except special considerations determined by SOAR staff.

Waitlist: We have a limited number of spots on the waitlist. Once the waitlist is full you will need to wait and sign up for May’s Social Club. Placement on the waitlist does NOT guarantee you a spot at the next social club event. You will need to sign up with the general pool for any future social club events.
